Learn to design transport systems and public spaces that prioritize pedestrian and cyclist safety, and reduce traffic injuries and fatalities through Vision Zero and similar approaches.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Understand how to use data and indicators, such as crime statistics, perception surveys, and spatial tools, to evaluate the impact of safety policies and interventions.

Solutionsplus Project
TRANS-SAFE is a Research and Innovation Action project funded by the EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe. It aims to improve road safety in Africa through road safety solutions that are tested and validated, with a high level of scalability and replicability. It is a consortium of highly committed partners from interdisciplinary organisations in sustainable mobility and road safety research, NGOs, implementing organisations, policy and network partners from Africa and Europe. The consortium brings a diversity of experience, expertise and collaboration in Africa as well as international development road safety research.
ACRoS
ACRoS is a dynamic, city-led initiative dedicated to making urban roads safer for all. The network serves as a global hub where cities connect, learn, and exchange best practices to tackle road safety challenges while advancing climate goals. Launched in January 2023 and funded by the UNRSF, ACRoS is grounded in the principles of the Safe System Approach and is committed to reducing road traffic fatalities worldwide through collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based solutions.
