We would like to work with you to co-create practical solutions for lowcarbon, peoplecentered mobility in some of our partner cities, such as, Addis Abeba, Lagos, Lviv, Amman, Merida, Curitiba, Cape Town, Kigali, Buenos Aires, Quito, Dar es Salam, Kisumu, Davao, Kochi.  

 

As your first miniassignment, please pick one of these cities and a thematic area below, skim 2–3 resources, and send us a 1page brief or 5slide deck that: 

  1. names a promising case (city and topic area), 
  1. explains your research interest in this context, and 
  1. suggests what you’d like to explore (e.g., a quick analysis, concept sketch, data snapshot, or outreach plan).

Essay: Paratransit services

Now that you have an understanding of what paratransit is, produce an essay of 800 words on the following with your views of local strategies for e-paratransit:

  • If you live in a city where there are no paratransit services, elaborate a development and implementation strategy for e-paratransit based in the city of your choice, with the goal to foster a hollistic approach on e-mobility and to integrate paratransit into the urban mobility system.
  • If you live in a city where paratransit services do exist, explain if there are incentives or strategies to develop e-mobility services.
